the_excerpt with tag more

Hi guys!

on my blog I usual make articles made in this form:

IMG
<!–more–>
SOME TEXT

So in main page I see only IMGS and the link to Read the rest!
And it’s ok!

But now I need that in Search Result Page the results was in “Excerpt” format!

BUT I understand that the_excerpt stop work when find the <!–more–> tag! So I have blank result (the img is ignored by the_excerpt)

There is a way to “strip” the tag more before make the_excerpt?
Or
There is a function to have the_excerpt ignore more tag!
