the_content tag not hide content of posts on single page (WP 2.1 K2) (1 post)

    Hi, I want to publish posts on specific single pages.
    I have created a new template to do this.
    The posts publish fine but I cannot reduce them to "excerpts"
    I do not want to use the tag the_excerpt, because it does not give enough control (not show pictures, etc, however, this tag works well on single pages).

    The tag the_content works perfectly on my blog page, it will however NOT hide the content of the posts on my selected single pages - no matter how I change its parameters.

    The tag will, however, do the following:
    It will hide the PREVIOUS part of the post if I insert a true as follows: <?php the_content('Read more...',true); ?>

    So the tag seems to behave well (at least in this respect)!

    Any ideas as to what else I can do? As indicated I am running WP 2.1 on K2 and the original tag (which works on the main page) is:

    <?php the_content(sprintf(__("Continue reading '%s'", 'k2_domain'), the_title('', '', false))); ?>

    Any ideas will be GREATLY appreciated.
