My site is all video’s and only 1 is showing the featured image from the video when I try sharing each post on Facebook.
I had this problem, managed to fix it, now with the jetpack update I just installed Wednesday, the problem has returned. The wrong image is being sent to FB, even though I have a featured image set, and the image size is 200×200 minimum (most of the time I do 225×300 – learned this was the cause of the previous problem of wrong images going to Facebook). I see no obvious reason why this is suddenly happening again. I have not made another changes or updates to WP, FB or any plugins.
I am 100% positive the problem surfaced after I did the JetPack update though…everything was working like clockwork until Wednesday morning after the update.
I would also note that when I go to the post on FB and use the Facebook share button from the post, the image works fine and appears correctly on FB unlike the last time I had this problem.
nmyric and jefflabonte, can you each start your own thread and include a link to your site, please? If you want it to remain private, you can also contact us via this contact form:

freedcomedy: the images associated with a post need to be at least 200px by 200px if not more, otherwise Facebook won’t publish them and we won’t include them in the og:meta tags needed by Facebook (these include the information Facebook uses to generate the post titles, etc).
Also, I noted that you aren’t using Pretty Permalinks for your site. Have a read here:
http://codex.wordpress.org/Using_Permalinks#Choosing_your_permalink_structure
I suggest switching to something like “Post Name”, just so that your site’s URLs don’t have those ugly numbers in them.
Thanks Richard, I thought the images were large enough, but I went back and looked. Sure enough a few of them snuck by me and they were the culprits.
How can I change the default picture that gets sent to facebook instead when that happens? The one that somehow got chosen is probably the most inappropriate choice possible.
There’s no way within Jetpack to do that; you’d have to re-write portions of the code to get it to do that, unfortunately.
As a happiness engineer, do you think maybe that’s a feature that jetpack users would like to have? Maybe even a warning when trying to post graphics that are too small to facebook, that would also seem useful.
Ok, this post doesn’t fit that problem. the graphic is much bigger than 200X200

Thanks, this seems to be related to another issue that we’re looking into, I’ll let the developers know and I’ll get back to you.
