    I checked the permission on the folders wp-content/uploads/2006/ and changed them to 777, tested it then I changed them to 775. I tried to upload a simple image. I received the error: The uploaded file could not be moved to .

    This option worked until I moved hosts and transfered the site.

    What about the month folder, e.g.; /09/ or /10/ ?

    As long as you sort by year/month you will need to chmod the new month folder each month.
