   Having looked at WP for the very first time in the last seven days, I still find it somewhat confusing in many parts [which is understandable] and potentially wonderful in others.

   I am also looking at utilizing other CMS's.

   I am seeking to develop a powerful and comprehensive and powerful, dynamic music portal......

   In the hope that fans do not become offended, my preposition is this:

   Is my use of WP capable of delivering such an aim? [as a friend described WP as being a glorified Blog Management Platform] Or should I be looking at a CMS which started out as being a dedicated CMS, to achieve this aim?

   Unless you music portal is based around a blog, I'd recommend looking for a more dedicated CMS.
