I have recently started to setup a blog using wordpress 2.7.1 and have followed instructions on to create it. I have got up to the stage where you visit http://www.mydomain.co.uk/wordpress/wp-admin/install.php but none of the pages load, they appear blank and have no source code, in both IE and FF.
Anyone have a solution?
help will be appreciated, thanks

I got this same issue as well (I put up a thread awhile ago with no responses) and seem to get the exact same results--blank pages. Just putting that out there.
Hi everybody
I am a newbie to wordpress and the site.
The problem I have when i get to wp-admin/install.php is that it keeps on trying to open the install.php in dreamweaver rather than installing wordpress.
I would really be very grateful if anybody can throw light to why it's happening.
Thanks in advance.

Bol, you might have it set up on your computer to open all php files in Dreamweaver. You might want to adjust the settings in Dreamweaver so that it does not automatically open php files. You want to make sure IE/Mozilla/etc. is the one opening the php file. (Just a thought)

my problem has been fixed now, there was just an error in the database details i entered, in the wp-config.php page.
Thanks for responding Kamagikat, I have gone to folder options in the control panel and changed php files to open up in a broswer but it still opens up in dreamweaver.

I had the same problem: completely blank page opening up for my /wp-admin/install.php link, and when I went back and looked through my
"MySQL" settings, I'd entered my Username incorrectly.
That solved it for me too.
