   Hi,

   Can someone please help me with this,

   I just tried to load my site and I couldn't do it.

   It said:
   - The page resulted in too many redirects
   - clearing your cookies for this site or allowing 3rd party cookies may fix the problem

   Please help!

   Can you login into your Admin area? If so, try resetting your custom permalinks back to the default setting and deleting/renaming your WordPress .htaccess file. If that works, then review Using_Permalinks before setting a custom permalink structure back up again.

   Hi thank you for replying.

   I can log in to the admin area yes. What are permalinks though? I dont think I have set any up..

   And what is htaccess file? where can I find that?

   Sorry, but I am a complete beginner when it comes to these things.

   See Settings/Permalinks. Ensure that you select default settings and then select Save Changes

   Hi everyone,

   I have the same problem

   I have just updated from WP 3.05 to 3.1
   I am using the WPML multilingual CMS plugin version 2.04
   I am using the following custom structure: "/%category%/%postname%/"

   And voila:
   http://www.annit.is/ymislegt/

   I tried looking for .htaccess (using filezilla) but it looks as if there is none.

   If I change permalink settings to default I get 404 Not Found
   The requested URL /ymislegt was not found on this server.

   If I change it to numeric I see the website but it's showing a theme-specific 404 instead of the entries expected. I can look for a post and find it but the default category view is not showing anything

   I would appreciate any feedback on this
   Do I need WPML 2.1.2 (commercial version)?
   Do I have to change my permalinks?
   If I have to change my .htaccess, where is it located?
