    The Organic City is a multimedia thesis project dealing with place-based storytelling. We’ve combined WordPress and Mikel Maron’s worldKit to create a website where people can read and write stories about places in downtown Oakland, California. Since our two-person team has limited programming knowledge, we wouldn’t have been able to get this far without the help of WordPress’s support forum—so many thanks to everyone out there! Although the programming isn’t too tidy under the hood, we are very happy with the results on the surface. Our next step is to develop a downloadable story tour of the area.     Wow. VERY impressive! I think I may be wanting to pick your brain a bit in the near future…. I’ve some similar things I’m working on for Southern Utah.

    Thanks for the feedback so far. iraq: If I understand what you are interested in, we did all of the visual formatting, including formatting the width of the pages, by changing the CSS stylesheets in both the wp-admin and Default theme files. vkaryl: Pick away!
