   I keep getting so much in my spam area. It is all of this Mumbo-Jumbo stuff. How does it get there?

   Is there a way to totally stop it? Is that spam stuff even from visitors?

   It's just from spammers...not a lot you can do about getting it. However, if you have a good SPAM plugin activated (like the default ASKIMET) then it will catch most all of it. I get tons of it...each time I login, I just delete everything ASKIMET has identified as spam...works well.

   Yes, I do have Askimet. It does separate it well. I do still go through it just in case there is a legitimate comment. Do you think that I am wasting my time. Does it separate it so well that it will really be spam only.

   I don't think I've ever found a legitimate comment in the spam filter...I'm to the point now that I don't even look...I just delete them all.

   I've NEVER found a legitimate comment in the spam file- EVER. Akismet does the job very well!

   I also have never had a genuine comment caught by Akismet. If you refine the filtering to exclude anything with more than 1 link - you can be fairly certain that anything Akismet catches is junk and just delete it.
