The media button no longer works on posts and pages..help!!!!

I upgraded to 3.5 and now I am unable to add media to posts and pages. I click on the media button and absolutely nothing happens. Also, my html tab has been replaced with a text tab that i am not able to access. Does anyone know how to fix this very irritating problem? Thank you so much!!!!
