Since I upgraded to 3.9 if you click on a photo to view it in larger format the following error message appears: “NOT FOUND Apologies, but the page you requested could not be found. Perhaps searching will help.”

This is happening on several pages. I have been having serious problems with the site since the upgrade and have change the theme from Parament to 2010 and some of the problems were resolved. But this one persists and it’s affecting my site traffic and counts badly and also having a negative impact on the Adsense. Now, when I go to the Media File/Archives the photo in questions is there, that tells me that there is a problem with the link in my limited experience. So what’s to do? I have to get this resolved ASAP.

I am at http://www.historicphilippines.com and I’d appreciate anyhelp I can get. Thanks

    Fergus

Is this the theme you were using: http://wordpress.org/themes/parament

What other things have you tried besides switching themes? Does it happen with plugins deactivated? Have you tried to re-save the permalinks setting. It may sound a little strange but the more we know about what things you have tried the better we may be able to find the solution for you. 🙂

Jose: The parament you show in the link is the one I prefer and had been using for almost 2.5 years without problems until version 3.9. That’s when the excrement hit the air movement apparatus…I did shut down all the plug-ins and the same thing happens. About re-saving the permalinks I am totally clueless as to how to do that and there would be literally thousands to do – I think at last count there are over 3,000. Hope this helps you ID what’s going on.

Jose: as an example – go to the One The Road Again button and look for Basang Basa Coral Resort, Episode one – open it and click on any of the photos in that article – most, if not all will produce that error message. Now it’s not isolated to that one article but that’s the most problematic since according to Adsense that is our most popular article – go figure on a church website…

To follow up on this, I have now discovered that the problem is not isolated to one or two articles. It involves almost every article in which we have posted photos. I am terribly worried about this and would like to see it resolved somehow, Please help. Further, I just deactivated all tyhe plug-ins and the problem persists and fyi I have also changed from the Paramet theme to twenty 10…and still nothing.

Sorry for the late reply. Clicked on images and they appear to be using a lightbox effect. I got no errors, images showed fine.

It could have been cache related. 🙂 I’m just glad to see that the links are right now.

Jose: Thanks, when I shutdown last night, they weren’t working. What happened in the interim I can’t imagine. Now, most appear to be OK…it sure is a puzzlement to me. Anyway, thanks for taking the time.
