   How do you like that crap? Well after filtering great for years Akismet stopped filtering. Hundreds of crap comments just go in the moderation queue every day which is of course frustrating and a great waste of time separating the good ones from the spam.

   This is not a plugin code error, but a database error at the origin. Some one must have screwed up something at the base and what should be classified as spam is not, hence all over the world all Akismet plugins work like shit.

   I have to change plugin. CRAP!

   I'm having no such trouble on any of my blogs.

   Go to Plugins/Akismet Configuration in your admin panel to make sure that your blog is connecting with the Akismet servers.

   It is also possible that this could be a new form of spam attack that Akimset has not learned yet. Marking each one as "spam" will certainly help.

   If the problem persists, contact Akismet and politely share your concerns.

   He he politely...yes I am a bit pissed off.
   Thank you for your reply.
   All servers are reached fine, and I am marking those comments as spam prior to deletion.
   I hope it is as you say, I will try contacting akismet in a few days if thing do not improve.

   @mariostella there's no reason to wait - if something is broken, it won't magically fix itself.

   http://akismet.com/contact/ - don't forget to include your API key and specific examples of problem comments.
