A link to your site would help.
Couple of points…
Don’t paste content directly from Word as the pasted text will also contain Word’s own formatting. Sooner or later, this formatting will stop your posts from being diplayed correctly (if at all) in Internet Explorer. If you cannot possibly manage without Word, make sure that you use the ‘Paste from Word’ option in the Visual Editor tab.

You’ll need to go through all of your posts and remove this formatting by copying the post content into a text editor (such as NotePad), deleting the content in WordPress and then pasting the text back from NotePad into the post.
Secondly, when using the <!– more –> tag, always ensure that you leave a completely blank line before and after the tag.
You are wonderful. My front page issue is resolved and I am ecstatic. TY TY TY
I agonized over it for days because I couldn’t stand the way it looked.
My problem maybe related. I am using word 2007 and use ‘publish blog’ feature of word. Everything was fine except ‘Visit Site’ pointed to blog itself ‘http://primexsynergy.co.uk/blog’ and I wanted it to point to my website ‘http://www.primexsynergy.co.uk’.
I think I went to Edit ‘general’ and there we 2 links ‘WordPress and Blog’ both pointing to http://primexsynergy.co.uk/blog’. I changed the one for WordPress to ‘http://www.primexsynergy.co.uk’. Did ‘Save’ got a 404 error and then could not even log in.
