The Events Calendar
The Events Calendar and Smooth Slider plugin (2 posts)

I'm using the events calendar Free Version 2.0.11 and smooth slider Version 2.4.

Not sure if this is a bug or just incompatibility...

When I create an event there is an option from smooth slider, like it includes on all posts or pages, to include the event on the slider. It works beautifully, adding a nice slide of the event that links back to the event page. However, it also automatically adds another slide for the venue of the event that links to a venue page like this: http://www.site.com/venue/MYVENUE.

I understand the 'venue' post type has added functionality in the premium version. However it looks like the way events calendar is creating and calling the 'venue' post type is from within the 'event' post type. I'd love to be able to separate these so I can add events to smooth slider.

Anyway, perhaps its a long-shot that there is a solution to this, but anyone?
    cheers

    Hi Aja,

As mentioned in our sticky thread (http://wordpress.org/support/topic/welcome-the-events-calendar-users-read-this-first), we unfortunately are unable to help with with customization, styling or integration issues not caused by bugs with The Events Calendar. You have a few options:

    1. Check out our extensive support resources and try to figure it out on your own: https://tri.be/support/ & http://tri.be/support/forums
    2. Hire a developer to assist you. We've got a list of freelancers who know our code and who we can vouch for. Email us (pro at tri.be) and we'll pass that list your way.
    3. Purchase a Pro license to get more support: http://tri.be/shop/wordpress-events-calendar-pro/. As mentioned in the sticky thread, we can provide both a deeper and more frequent level of support for PRO users.

I hope that helps and good luck!

    Cheers,
    - Jonah
