[resolved] The 'default sorting' box acts wierd (7 posts)

The 'default sorting' box shows differently while the site loads and then changes style after the side has loaded. Also something about the box ignores my custom css and I cant manage to change the border and the text color of the box.

I was able to add custom CSS to the product sorting box on the category pages, however, I really wish that the theme wouldnt show a different product sorting box before the final one...

Thank you for looking into this.

The problem is in the theme coding itself. Notice how 'default sorting' box looks WHILE the shop page loads: http://awesomescreenshot.com/0dc1tn6f4b

The following screenshot shows how the 'default sorting' box looks AFTER the shop page has completely loaded: http://awesomescreenshot.com/0b41tn6n51

I think this is happening because the first box is loaded when bootstrap.css is loaded and then the box changes when virtue.css is loaded.

As a workaround, I am going to change the css of both bootstrap.css and virtue.css such that they both render the same formatting so that the formatting change goes unnoticed...

i was thinking, wont loading css before the rest of the page solve the problem all together?

    Hey podderharsh,

You were close but it's actually not an issue with css or how the css is loaded. The theme uses a javascript plugin to change the way the select-boxes show.

Select boxes don't allow much styling, so this script hides the select box once it loads and adds a box to cover it. I'm working on making the loading process less jarring as it switches once the javascript loads and will get back to you once I have a good solution.

    Hope that explains the situation.
