My problem is that I have just installed the plugin and when I try to add an image or anything and I press the button it do not do anything.
I have a theme, I have disable all the other plugins and still dont work.
I want to try it for buying the pro version but first I want to know if it works with my theme (photo nexus).

    Thanks

    Hi Jamaicol,

Please could you try disabling you other plugins and also clear your browser cache (or even better, use a different browser?)

    Regards

    Hi Jamalcol,

One thing you could try is:

In Google Chrome, go to the Meta Slider page
Then go to View > Developer > JavaScript Console
    Click ‘Save’ on the slideshow
Paste any JavaScript errors back to me, there might be some clues there.

    Hi Jamaicol,

It helps.. at least it confirms what I though!

The ‘ Object [object Object] has no method ‘sortable” error is the problem. Meta Slider specifically enqueues the sortable script, so I suspect another plugin is dequeuing it. I’m afraid the easiest way to find out which one is doing it is by disabling them one by one.

    Tom.

sorry for insisting, but i have disabled all the plugins.
Is posible the problem is being caused by the theme?

If I buy the profesional version you will solve this incompatibility?

    Thanks

I am having the exact same problem. Im using siteorigins vantage theme which states it supports meta slider. My homepage has a demo slider by metaslider working just fine but I cant add images to make a new slider. Followed the posts above disabled all plugins, tried on ie and chrome but still nothing.
Any help would be much appreciated, I like the theme just frustrated i cant put the finishing touches on it!

Same problem – all I have installed in Vantage theme with Page Builder and Metaslider plug ins, they specifically recommend this plug in

Can’t add a slide, a little icon spins, but nothing happens
    http://katherinemorgan.net/testfrednicholson.com
    Mine says version 2.8 beta
Was just getting started so is just the theme with no content, and had high hopes for this theme/plug in combo
checked the footer setting under trouble shooting – frustrated to have issues right at install.
Are there themes you recommend that you know work?
Or is there an older version that is more stable?

    morganikat

    (@morganikat)

Left here right after posting to check the vantage theme support – found a thread with same issues, metaslide not working right.
Several had success with deleting and reinstalling metaslide. I deleted it. Activated Page builder. Reintalled metaslide – from upload, so is the 2.7.2 version (not from the internal links) –
    and bingo it worked
    yeah!
might not help anyone else but tandemmarketing – but others might try as well

    Hi morgan,

    You beat me to it.

Somehow, I think Vantage is installing the latest (development) version of Meta Slider. It’s not tagged for public release yet. I’ll have to investigate.

But yes, to the others – if you’re using Vantage, and have installed it in the past day or 2, deactivate and delete Meta Slider, then go to Plugins > Add New and search for Meta Slider. This will install the correct version for you. No need to disable page builder or anything like that 🙂

    Tom.

Thank you morganikat and everyone else now all up and running and looking cool. Im a noob to wp and I am plesently surprised at the community spirit and eagerness to help eachother out, its becoming uncommon these days. Many thanks.

Sorry for insisting again, but uninstall and install again didn’t solved my problem.
For me this solution didn’t work.

    Hi Jamaicol,

Please try adding this to the bottom of your themes functions.php file (just above ?>)

    remove_action('admin_menu', 'mtheme_adminscripts');

See if that works.. I think it will fix Meta Slider but break some of the admin theme stuff, the way they have included admin scripts is not the standard WordPress way so it’s not possible to work around it.

    Regards,
    Tom.
