The BEST Theme (19 posts)

    Just wanted to say thank you to the person that created suffusion theme. It is by far the best theme out there and all others should follow in its footsteps. It has the most options for settings, etc. It is by far the cleanest, neatest looking theme. I tried about 25 other themes and none even come close to what this theme can do.

    Thank you for making it!!

    If anyone knows of a comparable theme, please let me know, I'm will to try out other themes.

    Thanks, DesertSun!
    As for other themes you can look at Atahualpa, which I believe offers more styling options than what I offer in Suffusion.

    I am using Suffusion theme on one of my sites, then I decided to use wordpress for another site. I didn't want them to look the same, I actually found and installed Atahualpa last night before reading your post. I do like that theme too, but yours is still easier to configure actual settings. Atahualpa is definitely at the top of my list too. I do like being able to change colors to what I want my site to be. Thank you to both of you for creating wonderful themes!

    I think by the time I was done trying out themes last night I tried out over 30 different ones I wasn't happy with the limited configurations.

    I love how an entire site can be created with wordpress!

    Dear Sayontan,
    I have downloaded this theme because of all the wonderful comments about it. I am really not much of a technical person and i'm not really sure how to use this. the purpose of my site is not only a blog but also a retailer to sell baking equipment. Can you please help me out. I would appreciate it.

    @Bake Fairy,
    There are enough non-technical facets in the theme that will help you. You can try exploring the different pages/sections from your admin panel, under Suffusion Theme Options.

    Sayontan,

    I want to say first I love the theme it's awesome and very versatile. I'm having an issue adding google site verification meta tags to the home page however. It says to put it in the <head> section before <body> section. I'm very novice when it comes to code. I'm having trouble finding this area. Any advice?

    Thank you

    You can use the other approach for site verification, i.e. putting a file in the appropriate folder. That wouldn't require you to change anything on your site.

    I just installed the 'Atahualpa' theme and am getting this message:
    Fatal error: Call to undefined function: is_tag() in /web/wordpress/wp-content/themes/atahualpa/functions/bfa_get_options.php on line 455

    now I can't even log into the wp-admin panel.

    Any thoughts?

    @Paulmonsef
    Shouldn't you be posting this on Atahualpa's forum instead of Suffusion's?

    Sayontan, I'm a huge fan. Thank you so much for Suffusion. I can't believe I didn't notice this amazing theme sooner. I have worked with numerous free and premium themes for the past couple of years, and this is by FAR my favorite. Awesome job!

    @Paulmonsef,
    Post it here: http://wordpress.org/tags/atahualpa?forum_id=5. Normally if you simply add a tag "atahualpa" it gets associated with that particular theme.

    @Urbicioperez,
    A Spanish translation of Suffusion is bundled with the theme. See here for how to do it. Your language code is "es_ES" for Spanish.

    @Kilakiwi,
    Thanks!

    Sayontan:

    I installed wordpress directly from http://es.wordpress.org/wordpress-2.9.2-es_ES.zip and the download of Suffusion was from http://wordpress.org/extend/themes/download/suffusion.3.5.3.zip. I just want to see the settings (Introduction, Visual Effects, Blog Features and Templates) in spanish.

    Thanks,

    Dr. Urbicio

    Dr. Urbicio,
    The options pages are in English only. There are no plans to translate those.
