    Hello
    I would like to updated my Permalink Settings as custom and I would like to know which are the best to get friendly URLs

    1 - /%post_id%/%postname%.html
    or
    2 - /archives/%year%/%monthnum%/%day%/%postname%/

    Please let me know and thanks a lot for your help

    URLs without extensions like .html or .php are best because they are future-proof and not dependent on a particular web technology. Having your pretty permalinks start with a number (like year) is best for performance reasons. See:
