   All previously working textareas are now outputting just as the shorttag, and not as an HTML form element.

   Any suggestions appreciated.

   Have you tried:

   - deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

   - switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems?

   Hi esmi,

   Yes, I have tried that... no success. I deactivated every plugin, and then switched to the default theme.

   All other form elements are working, from file upload to regular text input fields. Just not textareas... an the pattern repeats on multiple pages, with multiple forms.
