   After updating wordpress and adding some lines of code to my .htaccess so i wont have the error with my rss widget, my text widgets wont let me edit it. All it states that "There are no options for this widget."

   @randys,

   I'm curious what issue you were experiencing with the RSS Widget to warrant modifying .htaccess?

   it was a bug with 2.9 where rss feed widget would state "Could not convert to utf-8", i found this link with the solution: http://wordpress.org/support/topic/342975?replies=20

   @randys,

   Had a look at the topic...

   You might like to go back to that topic and explain your issue there.

   Another idea would be to:

   1) Undo your change to .htaccess
   2) Install WordPress Beta Test plugin.
   3) Install WP 2.9.1RC1

   I'm always very cautious about making changes to core WP unless the changes come from the WP team themselves.
