    I know I did something to cause this (maybe removed some footer code?)

    Note, the text continues to exceed the parameters of the basic design to permeate the grey. Any thoughts would be much appreciated.

    Sorry - didn't look closely before.
    Edit your last post and fix the whacked out stuff. It looks like you c & p'ed from Word or something. Anyway, something is messed up in that post whacking everything.

    Probably should fix some of these as well:

    So WP isn't very forgiving? Anyways, I cleaned up some posts but that hasn't helped, it's still continuing down the page. Basically the footer or whatever isn't extending like it should...

    i fixed the validation problems, however, the text still exceeds the footer. Any other thoughts? Anybody have the same problem before?

    I took a look again, you do seem to be missing #footer info. Try pasting the following in below your current #footer (in addition to):
    #footer {
    padding: 0 0 0 1px;
    margin: 0 auto;
    width: 760px;
    clear: both;
    }
    #footer { /margin-left: 2px; }
    #footer p {
    margin: 0;
    padding: 20px 0;
    text-align: center;
    }

    This was the key missing element:
    clear: both;
