   Hello

   I am modifying a theme. A featured article (above the loop) will be placed in a div of limited size.

   I need the theme to detect if the text overflows and insert automatically a "read more" at the right place.

   Despite intensive research on the web, could not find anything.

   Has anyone already solved this ?

   What you're asking isn't possible. Even if you carried out a word count, it wouldn't work properly as "it" is 1 word but so is "disestablishmentarianism". See the problem?
