Text not showing up in the edit mode.

    When I’m adding a new post or editing an old one, my text doesn’t show up in the space given to write. If I highlight it shows up blue, but when I type its as if I’m typing white letters on a white background.

    Is this just a dashboard formatting thing?

    Getting the same issue, as well as issues in this thread:

    Drop downs not working, etc… and this is a FRESH (literally an hour old) install of 2.8.4.

    Check thread I link to above for potential solutions (I haven’t found mine, yet, but they do have some that work for other people). I have a feeling the two are related.

    Temporary work around for THIS problem, however: go in to the dashboard (/wp-admin), click on USERS on the left, then go in to YOUR PROFILE. Check the box to DISABLE THE VISUAL EDITOR, then scroll to the bottom and save your settings.

    You will have to manually enter the HTML for your posts, for the time being, but it’s better than not being able to see what you’re doing!
