    Hi.

I'm trying to make a sidebar work for my blog, but everytime I add a widget that is not only picture or simple text (eg. when I add an archives list, tweet widget, categories etc) the text and links get all squeezed up.

This is my style.css around *sidebar and *widgets:

[CSS moderated as per the Forum Rules. Please just post a link to your site.]

I'm using modularity lite with a "theme tester" plugin right now, so you'll not be able to see it on my blog as it is now.

Hope someone can help, thank you!

It's impossible to help unless the site is viewable -- seeing just the code is useless.

The other thing that could be causing problems like you describe is unclosed tags -- or other html coding errors so you could start by validating your site:

Adding a link where we can see the sidebar live on your site would be the best way to get help.

Thanks WPyogi, I'm gonna check that link out!

Both of you, the site is now viewable WITH the sidebare and with an "ARKIVER" (archives) widget where the text is pushed together.

And a "KATEGORIER" (categories) widget looking even more weird!

you have a simple problem, but I would like to know who did css for you...
For style (#sidebar ul li a) you have height:1%. Why? delete that, and everything will look ok. :)
If you are not using IE, you can right click an element with a problem, choose inspect element, and see what causes your problems.

I'm trying to learn it together with my boyfriend, so I guess we've typed something wrong there! Thank you, your solution solved the problem, and thanks for the tip! :)
