testing to make sure comments enabled

Could somebody comment on one of my posts to make sure it is possible?

I received a reply from a user who was unable to do that, and at one point, I got a screen that said “you need to enable sending referrers…”, and whether that has anything to do with comments capabilities, I’m not sure, but I searched and found Jose da Silva’s suggestion to change the code in admin-functions.php, and I did it as was described, and now I need to test it.

Somebody? Please?
