   I have my website up in production.... however i am trying to go into word press. I copied the page into the pages and hit publish.

   I had to rename index.php because my site uses index.html. I understand I have to get index php out there to see my pages, but when i do, my page image is only in the upper left corner and the blog page is the rest and the words are accross the screen.

   I need to be able to test and i need to find out what is keeping my full page image in the corner and not be a full page like it is in production...

   So first, how can i see my wordpress pages via going to the website. I tried to go to http://www.domainname.com/index1.php and that geve me a 404...

   THen

   second... what would keep my now full page image from using the whole page?

   Any suggestions?

   You're going to have a very difficult time getting that to work by renaming index.php. That file name is used in the core for a lot of functionality.

   Your best bet is to create a different testing area either on a test server or other test account.

   You have to install wordpress in a folder rename index.php will not work.If you already a template website with index.html than they conflict.
