Test email process is failed.

    Hi there!

    I’ve looked at the other threads and tried the suggested solutions to no avail. When I try to send a Test Email it says, “Test email process is failed.” after a while.

    1. I have made sure my login information is correct for smtp.gmail.com (port 465).
    2. I have taken out the “.” in the username just incase
    3. I have tried No Encryption and Use SSL Encryption
    4. I have created php.ini in my public_html folder (permissions 640) and added “extension=php_openssl.dll” (without the quotes)
    5. I tried another user’s suggestion for the accounts.google.com DisplayUnlockCaptcha

    Not sure what else I can do… I want to use this plug-in because my buddypress notifications are going to spam.

    Same boat. Tried multiple email addresses. Positive I’m entering correct credentials.

    I just updated the plug-in and I continue to get the fail error. I made sure SSL encryption was on, I deactivated and activated the plugin… took the . out of the email address for email again..

    Same problem and tested in Outlook works fine but test mail fails

    My problem is my mail is None SSL and there is no option to turn it off, its just on by default please put option to turn it off aswell

    Easy SMTP Mail Plugin send a mail when SSL is on.

    extension=php_openssl.dll extension is enabled.

    On your Apache server .

    Doesnt work for me either and I cant get any of the options to turn off, don’t want SSL on as not using ssl on our server for this site and yes I know how to set it up correctly.

    I have Problem with Mail sending concept , Right now Im using wordpress4.0
    version, I installed “Webriti SMTP Mail PlugIn” , I declared Hostname and Port no: and mail address but Im getting Error “Test email process is failed.” So please what you will suggest me or send any Link.
