After reading some good reviews, I decided to give this plugin a shot.

After using it for a full 3 months, I came to the conclusion that more than 50% of its features simply do not work.

I'm suspecting this is a deliberate move by the devs to make you buy their pro version. Only with that version will you get any kind of support.
Even their forums are hidden for non-paying users!

Much better alternatives are available, stay away from this one.

How do you know that the error wasn't yours? Why didn't you try to contact the plugin's author about this by posting a topic in the plugin's dedicated sub-forum?

    Hi jsc420,

I would like to respond to your comment.

First off you clearly haven't visited the support forums for our plugin or you would see how active we are in them. If you take a look at the forums you'll see responses to the vast majority of forum posts by either myself or Peter Baylies who is our lead developer for All in One SEO Pack. We respond to every report of a bug and if we confirm it is a bug with our plugin we release an update very quickly, as can be seen by checking our changelog. Our closure rate and satisfaction rate for support is extremely high which I think is great given this is all done for free.

Secondly, if there is a feature that doesn't work for you but works for every other user of the plugin don't you think that it's more likely to be a conflict with your theme or another plugin. If you visited the support forums and found dozens of people reporting the same issue then it's much more likely to be a bug with our plugin and you'll see that we respond immediately and fix the problem. There is evidence throughout the support forums to back this up.

We don't push people to purchase our premium plugin. We don't use dirty tricks to force you to pay for support. Users purchase the premium plugin because they want to support the development of one of the most widely used WordPress plugins and ensure that we can continue to develop a top class product that can be distributed to every WordPress user for free.

    jsc420,

I've used Yoast's plugin on many websites, and about two weeks ago I purchased their pro version because I was having a major issue with it crashing a new site. Even with zero other plugins enabled, enabling Yoast would tank it.

So I paid them $89 for the pro version, and their support left me high and dry. I had to setup a new WP site and move all of the data because they had "never heard of the problem before" etc. They even gave me the old "maybe you need a new web host if it doesn't support PHP curl", which was hilarious because it was my own, beefy VPS with CURL installed.

Now I've been using All In One SEO on multiple sites, and have ZERO complaints. I love it. I'm using both the pro and free versions and haven't seen any problems between the two.

I'd give it another shot man....you're missing out!

I agree with theatereleven. Yoast has always been super "heavy" and clunky. We've used All In One SEO for years now (on at least 50 client sites as of now) and it's an awesome plugin and nope, never had a complaint....even with the free version.
