    Hi,
I use WordPress hosted blogs. Is it possible to temporarily disable an RSS feed (it goes through Jetpack) while I am updating or working on my blog?

    Thank you,
    Annie

It does not look like those sites are hosted on WordPress.COM...

I'd just Disable Feeds plugin (or one like it).

I can't tell from the OP's question and WPyogi's response if this site is or isn't on WordPress.com, but if you can install plugins, then that would be the easiest way.

Please reread my original post. It said it is a 'hosted' blog meaning that it is not on WordPress.com.

You said "WordPress hosted" which generally refers to a WordPress.COM site.

Then install the plugin. I've used Disable Feeds and it simply redirects calls to the feeds page back to the home page. (which may or may not be what you want, but never the less, feeds aren't accessible)
