Templatic Theme & Search Bar

I am using templatic theme iproduct. I would like to add a search bar to the header but every time i drag the search widget to the header navigation spot it removes my actual navigation and adds a search bar instead of adding a search bar to the navigation. the website is wwww.thatguyon.com if ya wanna take a look. Is there a way to edit the theme within the php to add a search bar or something?
