  • You probably won’t find an /en/ subdirectory because it only exists in the URL through a rewrite rule.
The CSS should be applied to the whole site (both languages).
Are you targeting specific languages with some type of class or ID unique to that language’s classes/IDs?

..this is assuming you only have a single-site install in one location and you’re using a plugin like WPML or qTranslate.

    Thanks for responding Michalbluma
I have one install of WP and I have activated the plugin: MultilingualPress

But as mentioned the css changes don’t take effect in the “/en” site.

Would you recommend that I switch to either WPML or qTranslate?

I don’t think you need to switch.
I doubt that there would be any plugins that wouldn’t handle that easily for you.
Could you post the actual URL of your website?

    Both http://www.epitaltest.dk/wp and http://www.epitaltest.dk/wp/en
are using the same stylesheet (style.css) located in your small-business theme folder (and the Google Web Font one).

Can you show me an example of a page where the CSS is different from one language to the next? (and describe what the difference is).

Also, juuuuuuuuust in case, have you refreshed your cache when checking for your changes on both “sites”.

Hey Michalbluma, here I have gotten hold of a person who likes to help
    Thank you very much.
    Easy to answer your question

Just go to epitaltest.dk/wp and look at the very top of the page. The top-menu-container holds a background colour of #01A9C4 (which is what I want)

The epitaltest.dk/wp/en top-menu-container holds a background colour of #B81005, which is the original colour from the standard template.
