Template/form for pages

    Hi,

    I’m looking for a form that allows registered users to create pages but within the guidelines of a form.

    So people can create a page, but it get’s added to a default category and there are set fields and maybe even minimum word count numbers. Is there anything liek this for WordPress?

    Because of the use of the word “template” to describe the coding that forms the look of a website I’m finding this difficult to find an answer.

    Sorry, maybe I didn’t explain it correctly. The problem I have is that any searches for template or form bring up results that aren’t related to templates or forms to build a specifically structured page, which is what I am looking for. One where members creating a page are controlled in the layout and word count for certain fields and the page that is created has a structured layout that they can’t break. It is also added to a default category that I can set.

    There are extensions for this on Joomla sites, but on the official Joomla website exstentions are categorised so it makes it easier to find. With WordPress here, you can only do a search across every plugin. and I’m getting template specific or form creating plugins.

    I think advanced custom fields plugin might be what I am looking for. Can anyone advise me on that please?

    Would a plugin such as user role editor do the trick ? Where you can manage which users can do what ? Such as publishing a page or so ?

    Thanks Beee, I checked it our and it seems to be just for authorisation levels and what subscribers are allowed to do.

    Although I want some of those features, I’m also looking for a template or form or stencil that sets text boxes that maintains the layout of the page and stops registered users from adding html, links and requires minimum.maximum page length, etc.

    I thought you could create custom pages as well (through templates) which you can then manage yourself (afaik)
