[resolved] Templatefile in child theme - Suffusion theme (3 posts)

In the footer of the Suffusion theme there's a credit to the author which I wan't to remove. In the "site-footer.php" file it is explained that it is possible to do by using either the "get_template_part" or the "locate_template" functions and replacing the "site-footer.php" file in the child theme folder.

When i read about replacing template files in child themes I just have to place a edited file in the child theme folder and then wp first search for the file in that folder and if it is not there it looks for it elsewhere.

I have now tried both by just replacing the file in the child folder and adding a "functions.php" file with following codes:
    "<?php locate_template( 'site-footer.php', 'true', 'true' ); ?>"
    "<?php get_template_part( 'site-footer', 'site-footer' ); ?>"

It works that way that the credits are changed as it is supposed to do, but it seems that the other templates is omitted and only the footer is shown in the browserwindow.

    What can I do?

Try asking on the theme's dedicated forum: http://www.aquoid.com/forum

Thanks for telling me. Thought it was a wp issue but it showed up to be a Suffusion issue.
The solution to my problem is to be found on this page:

    See under "Code Housekeeping"
