Template Widgets as Functions in functions.php (1 post)

    Hello everyone,

    I have a general question:

    Is it a good or bad idea to have "widgets" (reusable areas, ie. a Video Articles section) in your functions.php ?

    Example:

    If I wanted my Video Articles section to be on a couple different template files, all I have to do is reference video_articles(); and that function is setting inside functions.php.

    Hopefully that makes sense.
