• I have created a customized template page to display posts for a particular category only. When I click on ‘Previous Entries’ navigation link I am taken to a page generated by the page.php template page instead of the customized template page that I created. Also, on the next page I always get ‘No more posts’ message. Any ideas why page.php is used as the template page instead of the custom template page? Thanks.

It seems you have created a Page template – at least that’s what I think based on what follows in your post.
You should have created a Catgeory_Template if you want to display posts from a certain category. See the intructions by clicking the link.

Thanks for the reply. I think you meant Category_Templates.

I had come across that solution before, however, I need the link for this page to appear under the ‘Pages’ section and not under ‘Categories’. I realize I could do some tweaking and make the category-6.php link appear under ‘Pages’. But I just wanted to make sure that the problem cannot be resolved using custom page templates before I go that route.

So, am I to conclude that the navigation links will be broken if I try to create a page off of a template page(the template page would be querying for a particular category)

Why do you want to force WP to do something “not normal” when you have a perfect tool to display categories >> Catgeory_Templates.
And to display an additionaol link in the “Pages” list is just adding manually a <li>whatever link</li> to the page_nav_list template tag. Many people did that for their “homepage” so you’ll find several examples for it in the forum.
