Excuse me if this has been answered elsewhere but i've thoroughly searched both the codex and this forum to no avail.

1.5 provides a template called "archives":

    wp-content/themes/default/archives.php

It would seem that this template would generate a page with the usual header and footer plus links to posts by category and date. However, I'm at a loss as the where i might find this page. The default theme does not link to it anywhere from the homepage or individual posting pages.

I tried to guess the URL: */archives/ and */archives.php but neither work.

I'm using the /%year%/%monthnum%/%day%/%postname%/ permalink structure and mod_rewrite seems to be working ok as all my permalinks are working.

So, anybody know where I'd find this archives page?

Create a new page using "Archives". You can call it "Archives" or "Stuff" or indeed anything you like.

You can type some random text in the page content box if you like, but it won't actually appear..

Save it, make sure WP has updated your .htaccess and away you go.

"WordPress 1.5's default theme is Kubrick (http://binarybonsai.com/kubrick/) designed by Michael Heilemann (http://binarybonsai.com/) and adapted for use (http://boren.nu/archives/2004/10/10/kubrick-130-rc2/) with WordPress 1.5 by Ryan Boren (http://boren.nu). Included with this theme is a file called archives.php which defines the "Archives" Template..."

Yes, I blatantly can't read. It's plain for all to see right there. Doh!
