[resolved] Template file is being cached (8 posts)

I'm working on a WordPress site which is new to me. It was built by someone else. It's currently version 3.0.1.

I'm running into a caching problem when trying to modify the layout of a page. When I make changes to the content of the page the changes show immediately. However, when I make changes to the template file the changes are ignored. They do not show when I look at the source for the page.

The site has WP Super Cache 0.9.9.9 installed, but I disactivated it.

Yes, I know things need to be updated, but I need to get this page to behave first.

Any ideas? I don't think it's the server that's doing the caching because the content changes. Seems like it must be WordPress.

    Thanks

Try deleting the plugin entirely using FTP and resetting the plugins folder - change the name on it to something else temporarily.

Any other ideas? Does WordPress itself have any caching? Thanks

No. Can you post a link to the site? Does the host use caching?

Host was caching despite their earlier denial.

Figures :). Maybe think about a new host?

I will soon be recommending Liquid Web, I've had great luck with them for almost 4 years now.
