    Hello everybody,

I use an RSS autoposter (autoblogged) for publish event. The plugin retrieves an RSS feed and post it into an article. It also consider the type of post (or post type), so you can put “event” type post when in event manager is installed.

The problem is it does not want to save the event because missing the date of the event. I can get the date from the RSS feed but how to insert it after ? Mayba with taxonomy ou custom field ? What is the name of this field ? Start date ?

Thanks for you help and sorry for my bad english !

  • Hi,

haven’t use RSS autoposter yet however with regards to event date at rss its the pubdate else you can try to look into wp-content/plugins/events-manager/templates/templates/rss.php

Thank you for your answer Agelonwl. Do you know where is made the request to send the date of the event? Or what is the query to insert the date in the database ?

sorry, didn’t quite get what you mean by “request to send the date of the event” and “insert the date in the database”?

from the sounds of it, this won’t work with EM, because you need to create events that contain specific custom fields such as _event_start_date, and many more so that EM can correctly save and look up these events.
