Targeting Widget to Front Page Only Issue (3 posts)

    Hi -

I have been trying to target a specific widget to just the front page of my blog and have tried using both Widget Logic and the PHP code widget.

I have seen a few threads about Widget Logic and some tips but none have seemed to work in my case. To test the install I changed the theme to default and added the conditional tags for both home page and front page -- neither worked (the widget always showed). This leads me to believe that there's something very basic that is off -- not sure how to screw something so simple up. My site normally uses the Silver-Light theme.

Any thoughts about what's happening would be appreciated, or any other suggestions.

    Thanks,
    Greg

Are you using a static front page or a posts page? Only I sidestepped this when it was needed because the site used a static front page, so I was able to use a page template.

I am using a posts page as my front.

I tried the plugin on a couple of WordPress blogs I have, using the original theme as well as the Silver-Light theme.

In both blogs, the Widget Logic _does_ work in keeping my widget off of individual posts and pages. However, it always shows up on every subpage of posts (http://www.xxxxxxx.com/page/2/, etc.)

    Thanks,

    Greg
