I took over managing a WordPress website for a client. I do not know how to access it. The previous webmaster is not helpful. The site has been transferred from his servers, so thats done. Where do I start?

Well, the easiest way is to ask him what the usernames and passwords are, but I guess what you mean by him not being helpful is that he’s not giving you that info.

In that case, try resetting the password in the database: http://codex.wordpress.org/Resetting_Your_Password#Through_phpMyAdmin

This particular method has the added bonus of revealing the username during the process.
