Taking An Eternity To Save

From the limited use I have had of this plugin so far it seems to be able to do what we need it to do in the majority. The only issue that I am having it is when I create an event it takes an eternity for the event to save, literally minutes, maybe around 5 minutes.
Has anyone else seen this issue? Is there a fix?
