Is there an easy way to take a wordpress site down temporarily from the admin area? I've been looking for an option that would send visitors to a "site temporarily down" page but I can't find it. It would be much more convenient than going into the server to do it...

Customizable and you don't need to take the site down. It just makes it available to an admin only.
[edit] currently working for me on 2.9 with no issues.
