• Hi, I have recently removed the WordPress standard gallery page and implemented my own default page, and use the add gallery feature. This all works very well. I did this because my default Gallery page would only ever show those fotos that I had marked as feature fotos in Posts. The other thing I have started to do in my posts is use the text editor rather then the visual editor and use column tags, so I can split my post page up, using such tags as [sixcol_four] and [/sixcol_four]

I have now noticed 2 undesirable effects, which may or may not have been caused by this, but happened at around the same time. The email notifications that my subscribers get when I write a new post now does not show the feature foto at all and includes the first tag [sixcol_four]. This [sixcol_four] tags, that is emailed preceding my post text, also shows in the Visual Editor screen when writing a new post.

Can anyone help me, to a) remove those tags that are being sent out to my subscribers in the email notification and reinstate my feature foto in the email notification?

    Regards
    Mike

Can you please clarify what you meant by this?

Hi, In my wordpress.org site, I created a page, and the template I chose was “Image Gallery”. Apologies for my incorrect terminology. When I created this page, without doing anything further, it appeared that by default, any fotos I had marked as Feature Fotos in posts, appeared on this page. I removed this page/deleted it, as I was unable to have it show other than just my Featured fotos. My new Gallery page, for which I used the “Default Template” works fine. But my concern is that somehow when my emailer sends out notifications, it was referencing the “Image Gallery” Templated page. But Im not sure. It could also be because I am now using column tags.

What theme are you using? Where did you download it from?

    Hi,

I have a Woo theme called The Morning After.

I am writing my posts just using the Text Editor/HTML.

I’m sorry but as you are using a non-WPORG theme, you need to seek support from the theme’s developers – paid or otherwise. We only support themes downloaded from wordpress.org here.
