   I have stayed current with all updates of the WP software over the past year but I am running into several problems right now.

   For the past weeks I have noticed that I cannot add tags in posts, I cannot add categories in posts.

   Today I noticed that I cannot add or rearrange widgets (drag and drop does not work).

   I can also no longer add images to galleries via the web.

   WordPress in unresponsive to me.

   How do I remedy this???

   (I have tried to make these changes on multiple systems with no avail)

   Deactivate all plugins. Switch to the WordPress Default theme.

   Does it work?

   If so then switch back to your theme and start reactivating plugins one-by-one to see if you can find a culprint.
