Hello, Are tags used by search engines to rank your site? Should I replace my tags, as I have removed them. Thinking it is better for SEO, google analytics HTML had problem with site when I had tags, now they are gone it says everything is ok. Use them or not.

From what I have read and understand using tags within your WordPress can help with SEO efforts. But I have not verified this to be true or not with my sites. I use them.
Tags are used, just like everything else :) They're not used more or less than categories, or post content, though, so if you don't want them, don't use them. They're more useful for helping readers categorize posts.
