    A while back I decided to noindex my tag pages. However, about a week ago I decided I wanted to have them indexed (after making changes to the way to run the site). I was checking Google earlier and saw no tag pages indexed yet.

    Even though “noindex, follow” us unchecked in Taxonomies > Tags

    i.e. /wp-admin/admin.php?page=wpseo_titles&settings-updated=true#top#taxonomies

    And cache flushed, Yoast SEO is still adding noindex.

    Bit of source:

    <!– This site is optimized with the Yoast WordPress SEO plugin v1.4.19 – http://yoast.com/wordpress/seo/ –>
    <meta name=”robots” content=”noindex,follow”/>

    Am I doing something wrong or is this a bug? Is there a switch on the database I can “press” to get these pages indexed?

  • Hi there,
    I’m new to all of this but slowly learning about html, css, SEO etc. I’m also using Yoast SEO on WordPress 3.8 and I would like to insert <meta name=”robots” contents=noindex,follow”/> just for a few pages so they don’t get indexed. I’m a bit confused because I changed these specific pages to private thinking they wouldn’t come up in Google anymore BUT they still are. So then I went to edit the individual page by pressing on the code button and then inserting <meta name…> (as above) thinking that might work but it didn’t. So then…I started looking it up. Many posts talked about going to settings, privacy etc. but my dashboard doesn’t have this. I am using version 3.8 and I am using the theme goodlayers and using Yoast SEO. Can anyone help me?
