tag overlap in tag cloud (3 posts)

    I'm really new to computer code, and I know almost nothing, so bare with me. I've also been searching the web for two days for a solution, so don't just tell me to search.

    I did: I didn't do much. The tag cloud was like this from the start. I edited the "category-template.php" via FTP and increased the number of tags from 45 to 1000, and I tweaked the font sizes a bit, but that's all I could figure out how to do (what's the 'separator' and what values can I add besides '/n'?).

    I saw: The tags in the cloud overlap each other. In Chrome it's not too bad, but it's very bad in Firefox. In IE, well, I don't even want to know.

    I expected: I simply want the tags to not overlap each other. I want to be able to edit the spacing between the lines and between the words.

    It's never a good idea to start hacking core files unless you really, really, know what you're doing.

    Try adding line-height:1.5em; to:

    #sidebar {
    padding:28px 40px 30px;

    in style.css

    That worked! Now can I somehow make that code exclusive to the tag cloud widget, so that my other sidebar widgets aren't messed up?
