   hi,

   i am trying to set up a tag cloud as a widget in my side bar. after i put it in my sidebar and visit my site, all i see is the tag cloud title, but no tags. i looked at my source code and my tags are there, but no tag cloud. can anyone help? i am running wp 2.9.2 and using the mystique theme.

   Did you check if any of the tags have control characters in them ?

   i don't know what that means. sorry.

   the only characters that are not letters or spaces are periods and hyphens.

   If you inadvertantly hit the control button on your keyboard when you were creating a tag; this may (just may) prevent this tag from displaying on the page.
   I would not use periods in tags, because you don't know if the period is a period or a control char showing as a period in display.

   i have removed the periods and it still does not work.

   And you've assigned the tags to posts?

   Look at the Posts->Post Tags screen for post count for each tag.

   ok. i see what the problem was. my site is mainly pages and i have very few posts. i didn't have the tags applied to the posts, only to the pages. so how do i get the tags from my pages to appear in a tag cloud?

   Assigning tags to pages is not a native feature so what plugin are you using to assign tags to your pages?
