   Whenever a topic is closed for comments on my blog, rather manually or when the days to respond have been reached, my website starts to appear incorrectly. The tables are no longer in the right place. More specifically, the sidebar is no longer there, and instead appears below the original post. I uploaded the original comments.php file again, so it's nothing wrong there.

   It shows fine on the index page and on every post where the comments are not closed.

   I'm running 2.8.4. I also disabled all of the plugins and it still did it. Once i enable the comments on a post. It appears normal.

   Any idea?

   A link to page demonstrating the problem would help. The most likely cause is a missing </div>. Have you tried validating the pages?
