TablePress: categorization

    Hi Tobias,

    We have over 100’s of tables in – still WP-Table-Reloaded – which we plan to migrate to TablePress. Does TablePress support categorization? It would mean the world if it does, because it’s getting harder by the day to find the correct table 🙁 If not already in TablePress, is this something which is in planning (either free or as premium plugin, which I’d happy for)

    thanks for your post! Good to hear that you are planning to migrate!

    No, TablePress does not support categories at this time. This is high on my list, and I’d love to have this, too! Unfortunately, implementation is not that easy, so that I can’t promise if and when this can be added. 🙁

    A temporary workaround for you might be the table IDs. While in WP-Table Reloaded, these had to be numbers, they can now be (short) strings in TablePress. So, you could change the IDs of your tables to, for example, cat-1-table-1 and similar. In fact, you don’t even have to use numbers in them at all.
